Greece Day 7- Changing of the Guard
Our first stop today was the changing of the guard ceremony at the Parliament building. There was a great deal of pomp and circumstance (and two bands!) as the ceremonial guard, dressed in traditional uniforms complete with these red shoes that had black pompoms on them! There were lots of people and lots of police trying to control a bunch of tourists who did not speak Greek. At the end, they placed wreaths on the tomb of the unknown soldier.
