Multiplying Mexicans

It is almost 9PM here, and the mexicans who are installing my floor are still going strong. It was supposed to be a 2-day job, but apparently they would like to finish today. I just wish I had known so I could pack some food. At first there were two Mexican workers, and when I returned from school, there were about 10. Now there are only four left. Instead of listening to Delilah, I got to listen to the sort of music that plays in Mexican restaurants. Makes me HUNGRY! I must say, it is nice being able to walk around without shoes on. I think I am going to really like the new floors.

Things are really coming together in the kitchen. Mea Soror and I finished painting the trim this morning, and the countertops were delivered today. Unfortunately, the countertop fabricator can't read or something because the countertops were cut incorrectly!! OMG!! Apparently, I missed all of my mother's and sister's drama because I was at school doing some website training. My mother sped (think Cruella DeVille) to Lowe's and got the countertop guy to come back to my house to see that the countertops were cut wrong. He agreed, and my new countertops will be delivered next Wednesday while I am on Jury duty.

Whoo hoo. Looks like I just have a few touch ups and curtains to sew for it to be complete. I am going to pick up my new leather couch, chair, and barstools this weekend! Then I have to clean and re-assemble for a totally new house.

Believe it or not, I am actually crossing things off of the "to do" list... Of course, things keep getting added on to it!

Hmm... sounds like they are finishing up!
