Lingua Latina Vivit!
"What nobler employment, or more valuable to the state, than that of the man who instructs the rising generation? " - Cicero
I turn around, and it is already Saturday night. The past few days have been a blur, and my head is spinning with all of the new-exciting-fun ways to teach my favorite dead language. It made me feel like I am the most boring Latin teacher on the planet, but I knew I was in a rut and needed energizing. I really miss Fisch, my mentoring teacher from Knoxvegas. I would have had so much more fun (and fun poking fun) at this conference with her.
I have also met many new colleagues, some newer and some more seasoned than I. I had an awesome time at the book fair. (I know, they practically had to drag me out kicking and screaming!) Many of the titles I wanted were 20-60% off the list price. As if I needed a reason to purchase more books. I missed an entire session looking at materials.
The last day is tomorrow, and while I will be sad to say farewell to my fellow Latin teachers, I am really ready to get home.
